Rankin Rugs is a design studio based between London and Los Angeles founded by Amber Rankin (Fine Art, Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford). The studio is a destination for contemporary decorative art and collectible design, and is known for its handknotted collector rugs and sculptural furniture pieces. The studio practices at the intersection between art, design and culture, exploring material identity and aesthetics of the everyday. Each piece is handcrafted and made-to-order by some of the world's best artisans and makers, combining traditional craftsmanship and heritage with contemporary design.

Only a select number of rugs are made each year, all 1-of-1 and handknotted on a made-to-order and exclusive basis in a prestigious workshop in Bulgaria, home to Europe's last 30 remaining handknotting artisans. This ensures complete uniqueness, as well as providing clients with the option to commission tailor-made designs. Locally-sourced wool and sustainable materials are intrinsic to Amber's rugs and the workshop's legacy of luxury, continually striving to preserve the expertise and innovation established 2500 years ago. With a distinguished heritage in weaving rugs for high profile establishments worldwide, the workshop and its artisans have gained the loyalty of high profile clients ranging from King Charles III to Mick Jagger.

Rankin Rugs provides collectors and design clients with the opportunity to acquire one-of-one and made-to-order works of art from its studio. For custom projects and general enquiries please email
